From the creator of the award-winning Nature Connects, Sean Kenney’s brand new exhibition Nature POP! utilizes the bright, saturated color palette of LEGO bricks to create highly stylized, colorful silhouettes of natural forms that “POP” out of their surroundings.
This visually exciting exhibition is a pop-art mash-up of Kenney’s renown nature-themed work and his aesthetic for brightly-colored minimalism.
Just as LEGO pieces interconnect, everything in nature is interconnected in a delicate balance. Insects, plants, and animals have important relationships with one another. “Nature POP!” brings these relationships to life through sculpture, allowing visitors to appreciate the artistry of Kenney’s work in conjunction with the the beauty of the surrounding natural world.
