Over the course of two days, thousands of children and parents came to FAO Schwarz to help lend a hand in building a gigantic model of Beauford P. Alligator. Paul Frank’s Julius Monkey was also on hand to help build. After helping, each child (or parent!) got a signed certificate of achievement and some free LEGO Paul Frank gifts.
Many people were thrown off by Beauford P. Alligator’s name, but Sean was quick to point out that he was actualy an alli-croco-saurus.
Sean worked together with LEGO Master Builder Steve Gerling on the giant 8-foot alligator. Working from a small two-foot prototype, the model was scaled-up using giant LEGO bricks built by children.
The giant alligator took two days and over 65,000 bricks to build.
“Hello? What? What? Hello? Look, can I call you back, I can’t hear you, you’re in a banana.”
