This life-size sculpture of a Moth Orchid is nearly 3 feet tall and contains 2,300 LEGO pieces. (Yes … lots of teeny tiny pieces!)

All of my LEGO sculptures are built with regular off-the-shelf pieces, and there are a very limited selection of pink shapes available.  I used only four different types of pink rectangular bricks, yet had to make this orchid look as realistic as possible.  This made the sculpture even more complicated to build… on top of the fact that it is so thin, tall, and jiggly!  (More than once I found myself crawling under the desk running after a half-smashed petal or two.) :)
